How about using a simple dry discarded branch? To make it easy for you, we sought advice from Ana and Eva, members of <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.belinka.com\/en\/ambassadors\/\">Belinka&#8217;s group of ambassadors<\/a><\/strong>, who create their own products under the brand Wood &amp; Blonde. Their love of wood flourished into a success story, and its main protagonists are decorative accessories for the home made from scrap wood, which promote the reuse of discarded or used wood. Their signature products are lovely small tables and useful decorative tree stumps. What is special about their products? Each and every one is handmade and unique. Just like the candle holder you can make.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"750\" height=\"500\" src=\"https:\/\/www.belinka.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Belinka-news-Svecniki-01.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-50245\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.belinka.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Belinka-news-Svecniki-01.jpg 750w, https:\/\/www.belinka.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Belinka-news-Svecniki-01-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><strong>To make the candle holder from scrap wood, you will need:<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>a dry branch of any thickness,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a handheld or bench circular saw,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a wood drill and drill bit,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>sandpaper,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.belinka.com\/en\/products\/interier\/\">Belinka Interier<\/a><\/strong> wood stain<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a paintbrush,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>tealights (one for each candle holder).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><strong>The method of making a candle holder from scrap wood<\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:10px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>To make the candle holder, first find a dry branch of preferred thickness in the woods, your yard or another place. The branch thickness will determine the candle holder size or girth. The thicker the branch, the bigger your candle holder will be.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"750\" height=\"500\" src=\"https:\/\/www.belinka.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Belinka-news-Svecniki-02.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-50279\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.belinka.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Belinka-news-Svecniki-02.jpg 750w, https:\/\/www.belinka.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Belinka-news-Svecniki-02-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Make sure the selected branch is dry. If it is completely dry, the bark is likely to have peeled off, and if not, remove it with a bark peeling tool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.belinka.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Belinka-news-Svecniki-03.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-50296\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Now the branch is ready to be cut into wheels of various heights with a handheld or bench circular saw. Before cutting up the branch, think about the finished look of the candle holders, whether you want to create a composition of several holders and how high they should be.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"750\" height=\"500\" src=\"https:\/\/www.belinka.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Belinka-news-Svecniki-04.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-50313\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.belinka.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Belinka-news-Svecniki-04.jpg 750w, https:\/\/www.belinka.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Belinka-news-Svecniki-04-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Then, using a drill bit with the appropriate diameter, drill a hole into the wheels, which will hold the tealights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.belinka.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Belinka-news-Svecniki-05-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-50330\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>There is one last step to finish. Carefully smooth down each wheel with sandpaper of grit size 100 to 320 and dust them off thoroughly, then treat with <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.belinka.com\/en\/products\/interier\/\">Belinka Interier<\/a><\/strong> wood stain to preserve the natural colour of the wood and highlight its structure, so that it stays visible. This wood stain, available in 9 colour tones, is intended for decorative protection of wood in living spaces; it has no unpleasant smell, dries quickly and several coats can be applied in one day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"750\" height=\"500\" src=\"https:\/\/www.belinka.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Belinka-news-Svecniki-06.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-50347\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.belinka.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Belinka-news-Svecniki-06.jpg 750w, https:\/\/www.belinka.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Belinka-news-Svecniki-06-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Various colour tones can be mixed as desired to create a wide range of hues. You can also use <a href=\"https:\/\/www.belinka.com\/en\/products\/interier-lak-2\/\"><strong>Interier lak<\/strong><\/a>, on its own or in combination with Interier wood stain. Interier lak, which is colourless, will give the candle holder a slightly shiny finish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"750\" height=\"500\" src=\"https:\/\/www.belinka.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Belinka-news-Svecniki-07.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-50364\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.belinka.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Belinka-news-Svecniki-07.jpg 750w, https:\/\/www.belinka.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Belinka-news-Svecniki-07-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Before use, stir it thoroughly and for best results use a paintbrush for water-based coatings. Make sure to apply the stain in thin layers.&nbsp;Before applying a second coat, wait at least 3 or 4 hours for the first coat to dry completely. Then gently sand the surface again, wipe off the dust and apply the second coat. You can apply additional coats if you like, depending on the desired colour intensity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"750\" height=\"500\" src=\"https:\/\/www.belinka.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Belinka-news-Svecniki-08.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-50381\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.belinka.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Belinka-news-Svecniki-08.jpg 750w, https:\/\/www.belinka.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Belinka-news-Svecniki-08-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>When the candle holder is dry, place it in a spot where it will proudly embellish a coffee table, shelf or sideboard. \u00a0If you want to place your decorative candle holders in the patio or another outdoor area, we recommend that you first improve their resistance by using <a href=\"https:\/\/www.belinka.com\/en\/products\/impregnant\/\"><strong>Belinka Impregnant Active<\/strong><\/a> for additional protection against wood rot and blue stain fungi and insects, and then treat them with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.belinka.com\/en\/products\/exterier\/\"><strong>Belinka Exterier<\/strong><\/a> wood stain in the preferred colour tone. Use biocides safely.
